“Will-A-Thon” – Free Assistance for Seniors, Veterans and Disabled

The Elder Law Committee of the Houston Bar Association (HBA) will hold its annual “Will-A-Thon” on Wednesday, April 5th.

New wills and basic medical directives will be prepared by a volunteer attorney for free for people who qualify.

Knowing these documents and decisions are in place can provide individuals and families great relief when more stressful times occur.

The program is open to people who are 60 years or older and meet income eligibility limits, and also is open to Veterans and people with disabilities.

Eligibility must be established during pre-registration phone call, and if qualified, an appointment time will be given to meet with a volunteer attorney.

Pre-register by calling (713) 228-0735 between 9 am -3 pm before March 31st.

When: Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Where: Tidwell Park and Community Center, 9720 Spaulding, Houston, TX 77016

Will and other estate planning documents will then be ready to sign on May 3rd at same location.
