Should I report abuse or neglect?
At Rosen & Spears, we advocate the reporting of any abuse and neglect that puts someone at risk for harm. However, it is important to consider the timing of a report if retaliation is a concern. Moving your loved one before you report may be the best thing to do. You can also ask that your report be treated as “anonymous.” Our experience is that the reviewing agency will try to examine the situation in such a way that the identity of the reporter is maintained in confidence.
